Making a violin is the greatest expression of who I am.
Every instrument I make arises from the inner urge to create, which awakens in me.
The task to give form to the formless.
In concentration I make space for that what is in me, can express itself.
For me it is fundamental to understand the materials and tools I work with, as fully as possible.
I try to understand the nature of things to use everything in an optimal way. Applying the laws of
nature on the making of an instrument.
With traditional techniques I find the right proportions. The ratio between the material and feel, in
order to arrive at a sound.
When the instrument leaves my hands it starts a life of its own.
An instrument that gives a voice and beauty to life.

I have always searched a way to create something that would reflect my idea about art.
Being deeply interested in renaissance and baroque art since I was very young, I found a way to combine my passion for painting, drawing, sculpting, philosophy and architecture, in the making of a violin.
By copying old instruments, I try to see the manner of working as well as the ideas that lay at the birth of each of those instruments.
To me it is very important not only having knowledge about violin making, but understanding that the principles and laws of nature, which in my eyes are best reflected in the art of the renaissance an baroque period, can be found in everything.
I like to share my passion with everyone.
